The National Construction Code (NCC) is a performance-based code that sets the minimum required level for the safety, health, amenity, accessibility and sustainability of certain buildings in Australia. It comprises the Building Code of Australia (BCA) in Volumes One and Two, and the Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA) in Volume Three. The NCC is maintained by the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB), a joint initiative of all levels of government.
