About this regulation

The Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021, established under the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011, sets out the minimum requirements that all Australian higher education providers must meet and continue to meet as a condition of registration. TEQSA is the independent national regulator of higher education in Australia, with powers to register providers, accredit courses, conduct compliance assessments, and take enforcement action.
